Arrival Instructions to Montjalade (04.92.76.50.74 or 04.92.74.93.06)

PLEASE NOTE THAT ARRIVAL TIME IS AFTER 5 P.M.

From the North:

Reillanne is 650 miles from Calais via the excellent French autoroutes.

Exit the A7 at AVIGNON SUD and take the D22 towards Digne/Sisteron/Apt

In about 15 minutes, this will take you on to the N100

Keep right and follow the N100 east to APT

Keep on the N100 through APT and towards DIGNE/SISTERON/CERESTE

Note the mileage as you exit CERESTE (sign with a slash through the word “Céreste) and continue east on the N100 for another 4.5 km (2.5 miles)

Turn sharp left at the sign for “Le Vallon des Oiseaux” as the trees end

Continue on this narrow, winding road for 1.2 km (.62 miles), passing a large house set back at the end of a long double row of plane trees. 300 metres after the plane trees, there is a tiny crossroads. Turn right at the green postbox

The private lane will lead you to Montjalade, which you can see straight ahead at about 400 metres from the postbox

From the South:

Driving from Marseille Marignane Airport takes about an hour.

Head for AIX-EN-PROVENCE, bypassing the town (a steep hill) by following signs to GAP/DIGNE/SISTERON/GRENOBLE

After passing an Agip petrol station, filter right towards the A51 direction GAP/DIGNE/GRENOBLE

Road swings round to the right and up a hill

Continue on the A51, taking exit 18 at Manosque

Follow the “Toutes Directions” signs into Manosque

At the fourth roundabout look out for a hardware store “Mr. Bricolage” on your right, then follow the signs towards APT

After about 15 minutes, the D907 will lead you to a large crossroads (“Les Granons”)

Turn left onto the N100 direction AVIGNON/APT/CERESTE

Continue 2.4 km (1.25 miles) on the RN100, passing a junction for Reillanne and the restaurant Auberge Pierry on your right and a turnoff for Montjustin on your left

400 metres after the Montjustin turnoff, turn right at the sign for “Le Vallon des Oiseaux”, as the trees start
